New ceramics by J Fish Designs are simple and beautiful.  Jennifer Fisher is an artist and designer recently moved to Berkeley, California after 8 years working in New York. Her work combines color and form with ergonomics and usability.

Julia Forrest Photography

Ok so remember back before Photoshop changed our lives?  No?  Well Julia Forrest does.  She creates her images using a medium format camera and no digital manipulation.  Her Illusions series is shot in black and white using Infrared film to emphasize the grain and to create a more surreal and distant reality.  The women use their mirror to re-frame what Julia has framed and capture the image in their mirror like a camera captures in the lens.

EarthSeaWarrior is an archaeological boutique specializing in the reconstruction of paleontological relics.

Using specimens left behind by nature, man or machine,

Home Design Comes to Urban Alchemist

Urban Alchemist is known for having something for everyone.  Well now, with the addition of Darbyn Fine Woodworking and Lightexture we also have some handmade goods for your home.

Lightexture is a collaboration between an architect and a lighting designer, creating unique designer lamps.
They incorporate clay and porcelain made by ceramic artist Sharan Elran, ready-made objects, lighting components and more. The lamps are fitted and assembled by hand.


Darbyn is fine handcrafted woodworking using the colors of Darbynwoods created by Cleveland, Ohio artist David Shafron.  Here's just a taste of what's in the shop:
